After spending a semester in Copenhagen, Denmark, I was struck by how different Sundays felt. In many European cities, Sundays are sacred—stores close, families gather, and personal time takes priority. It’s a day of rest, reflection, and connection. My American Sundays have always been about catching up: doing errands, chores, prepping for the week ahead. They’re busy, layered, and full of transitions, and often requiring many outfit changes. Sundays are complex—some people dread them, others savor them, and plenty have turned them into songs. As a global brand, Free People has the unique ability to tap into these shared, yet culturally distinct experiences. That’s why I came up with a campaign called Sundays—a concept that speaks to people everywhere in a way that’s deeply personal, effortlessly stylish, and beautifully universal. During my internship with Free People, I had the opportunity to direct a short video bringing this idea to life.
